Frisco Defeats Midland, Takes Final Regular Season Series: The Riders guaranteed another series win on Sunday with a 4-3 come from behind victory over the Midland Rockhounds. Frisco got solid pitching from Flores and Jake Brigham and got a key 2 RBI single from Mike Bianucci. Frisco remains a possibility for 80 wins this season and remains hot as the team rolls into the postseason beginning on Wednesday. Frisco is 12-3 in their last 15 games and improved their record to 71-46 (.607 winning%) since May 1st.

Flores Goes 5 in Second Start: Adalberto Flores doubled the length of his first start and extended through 5 innings of solid pitching against the Midland Rockhounds. Middle of the Order Production: For the second consecutive game, the middle of the order produced like they have for much of the season. Tommy Mendonca, Mike Bianucci, and Jonathan Greene, the 3 through 5 hitters in the Rider's lineup combined to go 5 for 12 with 2 RBI. All three hitters have at least a .773 OPS and two of the three are above .800. Mike Bianucci's 2 RBI give him the team lead now in RBI with 88 as he went 1 up on Tommy Mendonca, who has 87.

Bottom of the Order's Patience: While the middle of the order produced the hits, it was the bottom of the order that produced the patience and had key at bats. Engel Beltre, Jose Felix, and Jared Bolden, the team's 7 through 9 hitters combined to go 1 for 5 with 4 walks, a sac bunt, and a sac fly. They also had a RBI and 2 run scored. Jared Bolden, batting 9th, went 0 for 0 with 2 walks and a sacrifice fly. For Jose Felix it was just his 10th walk of the season, while it was Engel Beltre's 12th walk since August 1st.

Brigham Comes Through Big: Jake Brigham provided outstanding relief in the game as he breezed through his first 3 innings of relief. Brigham did hit a wall in the 9th inning after he loaded the bases with 1 out and just a 1 run lead. However, Brigham struck out both Matt Sulentic and Grant Green swinging to end the game. Brigham now has 114 strikeouts this season, which is best on the team by 4 over Carlos Pimentel's 110. Brigham did struggle to get ahead of the batters as he threw first pitch strikes to just 6 of the 16 batters he faced. Overall, as a reliever his first pitch strike% has been a less than stellar 45.7%. He is the only reliever for Frisco this season, no matter how many appearances, to have a first pitch strike% under 50%.

Tracking Texas League Homeruns: 1,022 homeruns in 1,106 games

Term of the Day: Horn- A mythical award given to a batter who strikes out six times in a game.

Last Year on This Date: Frisco defeated the Midland Rockhounds 10-5 on the road. Travis Chick started for Frisco and gave up 5 hits, 1 walk, and 3 runs over 5 innings with 3 strikeouts. Tyler Tufts pitched 2 shutout innings of relief, while Mark Hamburger gave up 2 runs in 2 innings of relief. Renny Osuna led Frisco with a 2 for 4 game including 3 RBI. Emerson Frostad also went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI for the Rider's. Andy Jenkins added a 3 for 5 game with a double and a RBI. Marcus Lemon went 1 for 2 with a double and 3 walks. Guilder Rodriguez added a 2 for 3 game with a walk. Engel Beltre and Joey Butler each added a hit in the game.
