Time: 7:00 PM CT
Location: Dr. Pepper Ballpark (Frisco, TX)
Team Records: Frisco RoughRiders (32-25 7 games back in the Texas League South)... San Antonio Missions (39-18 1st place Texas League South)
Streak: Lost 1 in a row
Last 10: 8-2
Series Record: 8-7-1
2011 Record against San Antonio: 5-8
All-Time Record against San Antonio: 115-115
Record since 2004 on June 9th: 4-2 with 1 off day
Starting Pitchers: Carlos Pimentel (2-3 4.66 ERA) is 0-0 with a 2.16 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 3 career starts against the San Antonio Missions... Jorge Reyes (3-1 4.09 ERA) is 1-0 with a 1.28 ERA and 1.07 WHIP in 3 career starts against the Frisco RoughRiders.

What to Watch for on the Mound: Frisco sends Carlos Pimentel to the mound for the 12th time this season and San Antonio sends Jorge Reyes to the mound for the 12th time as well in a battle of two starters who have had success against their opposition... Carlos Pimentel looks to continue the recent success he has had on the mound as the 21 year old right hander gave up 3 hits, 2 walks, and 2 runs over 7 innings in his last start against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. Pimentel earned the win in the start, his second of the season. Over his last 8 starts, Pimentel is 2-0 with a 3.86 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP. In his last start against the Missions, Pimentel gave up 7 hits and 2 walks over 6 shutout innings with 3 strikeouts. At home this season, Carlos has gone 1-2 with a 6.35 ERA in 6 starts. Opposing hitters are hitting .292 against him at home, as opposed to .237 on the road... Jorge Reyes is coming off an outing where he gave up 5 hits, 3 walks, and 3 runs over 5 innings with 5 strikeouts against the Arkansas Travelers. In his last start against Frisco, Reyes picked up the win as he gave up 5 hits, 3 walks, and 1 run over 5 innings with 2 strikeouts. He has gone 1-1 with a 2.77 ERA on the road in 6 road starts. Reyes has pitched especially well against the Texas League South as he is 2-0 with a 3.13 ERA and 1.26 WHIP.

First Loss in June: Frisco took a big loss on Wednesday night as they fell 11-1 to San Antonio dropping to 7 games back in the Texas League South, making a comeback even tougher. They never seemed to be in the game as they were down 4-0 after 4 innings and 8-0 heading to the bottom of the 8th. They scored a run on a wild pitch and gave up 3 more in the top of the 9th to make the score 11-1. With Frisco's loss as well as Portland and Louisville's losses, the Frederick Keys (Class A-Advanced Carolina League) became the lone team in minor league baseball to remain undefeated in June.

Jake Brigham's Start: Jake Brigham didn't pitch all that bad, but the first inning really put a damper on his start. Brigham walked Daniel Robertson on 4 pitches to open the inning, and after a stolen base Brigham struck out the next 2 batters. But a 2 out rally for the Missions pushed 3 runs across the board as James Darnell singled home Robertson from 2nd and Vincent Belnome began a big night with a 2-run homerun. Brigham retired the next 7 batters in a row. In the 4th inning, Brigham gave up a double, walk, got 2 more outs, but gave up a 2 out single to Anthony Contreras, which scored Belnome, who had walked. Brigham got through the 5th without much trouble again and he was replaced. Brigham finished up with a line of : 5 IP 4 H 4 R/ER 3 BB 3 K 1 HR 96 pitches-59 strikes.

Leonys Martin Extends On Base Streak, Leaves Game Early: Leonys Martin got hit by a pitch to lead off the game, which extended his on base streak to 20 games dating back to May 14th. But Martin, who has missed a couple games recently due to a lower back strain, was pulled after the 2nd inning and replaced by Guilder Rodriguez, who moved from SS to LF, while Osuna moved from second base to shortstop and Davis Stoneburner came in to play second base. It was the first time that Leonys Martin has started a game in left field this season for Frisco, and third time that Martin has not been starting in centerfield.

Jermaine Mitchell's Streak Reaches 30 games: While Martin has his own 20 game on base streak going, the Midland Rockhound's leadoff hitter Jermaine Mitchell reached 30 consecutive games of reaching base with a 2 for 4 game, including a solo homerun and a walk against the Corpus Christi Hooks. Of the 30 games, only 5 of them have come in games where he has not reached base more than once. Frisco plays Midland on the road after this 4 game homestand and then plays Midland at home on June 20th-23rd, their next homestand after this one.
